About us

Why we built it:

We got tired of unreported leaky water heaters leading to thousands of dollars in damage. We've had mold claims, tenant move-outs, skipped rent payments, and a lot of headache stemming from what should be a simple issue to solve. None of the off-the-shelf solutions worked for our needs. Low-cost devices that issue audible alerts are easy for tenants to ignore or throw away. Other devices require using tenant WiFi, installing building-wide WiFi, or complicated hub setups which we knew wouldn't work for the majority of owners and managers. We wanted affordable devices that didn't require any tech setup, 10-year battery life, modern SMS and email alerts, and installs that a level 1 maintenance tech can accomplish in less than 30 seconds.
