Installation in three steps:

1. Pull the battery tab to activate.
2. Place in your drain pan or near the base of the water heater.
3. Scan a quick QR code to assign it to a specific unit or suite number.

How it works:

The LD21 takes a sensor reading every 30 seconds. If there is no leak, it simply goes back to sleep for another 30 seconds. If it does detect a leak, the LD21 connects directly to the Thea Cloud, and alerts the relevant contacts via email and SMS if there is an alert. The LD21 is an ultra low power cellular device; it does not require WiFi, networking hubs, or external power. It is 100% self-contained. Thea uses a type of cellular networking that excels in building penetration, reaching interior and basement units even when conventional cell phones struggle with reception.
